Images Overview

When a call is made to search a group of specified providers, Snaggr will store the collected metadata of every image result locally within its database farm. While doing so, Snaggr uses an md5 hash of the image's URL as a globally unique identifier.

Using these ids with this group of services, a developer may pull a specific image, or set of images, from Snaggr's search history along with some metadata.

In the future, Snaggr will use this globally unique ids to associate with them other features, such as comments, ratings and other objects.
